Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito 2nd Trailer

After a quite long time since it was first announced, finally another trailer for Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito is out. The trailer has been streamed by Bandai Namco Live TV online.

(I really wanna give you all the trailer video but unfortunately, the video hosted in YouTube has been removed due to copyrights problem. Personally, I really hate this truth. We need the trailer and oh come on, it's just the trailer. Leaving it on YouTube will be a good promotion, right? I'll update as soon as I've found a new one.)

The anime is scheduled to start airing on early summer. The cast for two main characters were also announced, Irino Miyu as Hyuuga Akito and Sakamoto Maaya as Reira Marukaru (Markale in official English spelling pending). The anime will be directed by Kazuki Akane. The scenario is written by Shigeru Morita. For the character design adaptation from CLAMP, it's done by Takahiro Kimura while the mecha design is done by Yasuda Akira. Kawaguchi Yoshitaka, the producer of Code Geass franchise already stated that Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito is not an independent anime but a part of Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch. Although the release time has been announced, it is still unknown whether this anime will be a TV series or an OAV.

Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito takes place in 2017 when Lelouch is gaining his alter-ego as Zero and starts building his "Black Knights" (around season one). The setting takes place in Europe where Euro Universe (UE) is being attacked by Britannia Empire. Not willing to be defeated, EU forms a special unit called "W-0" where a young pilot, Hyuuga Akito, becomes a member of. Reira Markale comes to EU's aid. She commands the "Wyvern" Knightmare corps which comprised of Japanese teenagers. For their freedom and a country to call home, both of them join the battlefield while knowing that they might not survive it.

The trailer still has so many characters to be announced. Most of it shows the battle scene and KMF. It looks interesting although somehow the trailer kinda reminds me of old-styled anime. The battle scene is quite good although it's not as a epic as what I have seen in Hangyaku no Lelouch and R2. But since this is still a trailer, the final result may be different ;)

And here's some new picture regarding the character and mecha design....
