Design For Nendoroid Snow Miku 2013 Announced

Just now on Good Smile Company's live broadcast on Nico Nico Douga, the design for Nendoroid Snow Miku 2013 has been decided with polling from fans.

This time, the broadcast also talked about Project Diva f for PS Vita and a little bit about next year's Mikupa (which will be held once again by 5pb). But I will talk about the Snow Miku only :D

As you know, yesterday Mikatan announced the four candidates:

 Snow Miku: Borage Flower Ver.

Borage flower on hear head is usually used to decorate dessert. The tip of her twin-tails are made to look like cream. The color of the entire design which has a gradient from light blue to white is made to look like ice shaved with syrup.

The earphones are made to look like macaroons and her ribbon on her back is made to look like a sugar sculpture.

Fresh Cream Snow Miku

The frills on her clothes are made to look like whipped cream. Her ornaments are shaped like soda candy.

Strawberry Daifuku White Kimono Miku

She has a strawberry leaf on her head and a snowflake lacing. The white kimono has snowflake pattern on it.

Then just like last year, they also held a polling to decide which design would win. As you can see, I actually chose for design number 2 xD

And the result....

THE NUMBER FOUR WON!!! So it's decided then! Nendoroid Snow Miku 2013 will be Strawberry Daifuku White Kimono Miku! Everybody was very surprised with this result!

Actually I was surprised too! This Snow Miku will make a whole new face in Snow Miku line up! Usually you would see Snow Miku in her western styled clothes but now she will be available in Japanese kimono! Isn't that interesting? ^^

And don't forget that this Strawberry Daifuku White Kimono Miku costume will also be included in Project Diva game by SEGA! ^^

Now since the design has been decided, all we gotta do is to wait for the prototype! ^^

Design Candidates for Nendoroid Snow Miku 2013 Revealed

Regarding the contest to search a design for Nendoroid Snow Miku 2013, finally the candidates have been revealed in PIAPRO. The total submission reaches more than 200 illustrations!

Of course, only one of them can be made into a Nendoroid version. And to be honest, it's kinda hard for me to choose one of them! ^^

Theme for Nendoroid Snow Miku 2013 Announced

Today, a quite surprising news came. Good Smile Company has decided the theme for Nendoroid Snow Miku 2013. The theme is perfect candy look for Miku, which means, the design must involve sweet things like candy, marshmallow, (white) chocolate, white sugar, etc., while don't forget that all of them must suit the white snow.

And just like 2012 version, this time GSC also holds a design contest with PIAPRO. The contest starts today, 7th May 2012 and will end on 30th May 2012 at 5:00PM (Japan Time).

Nendoroid Racing Miku 2012 ver. Previewed by Mikatan

On her blog update today, finally Mikatan has previewed Nendoroid Racing Miku 2012 ver. According to the blog post, she will come with two expressions, a nendocar (and its decal), an opened parasol, a closed parasol, and some hands and legs of course.

She will be released on October 2012 and her pre-order is up until 7th May 2012 at 22:00 (Japan Time). Her pre-order is available at Nico Nico Chokuhan and at Good Smile Company Online Shop (GSR&Studie with TeamUKYO Personal Sponsorship).

Earlier today, Good Smile Company has updated the pictures of Nendoroid Racing Miku 2012 ver. in their website. So yes, after only showed the pictures in the live broadcast, finally they displayed the cute Racing Miku now ^^

Nendoroid Lily from anim.o.v.e Announced

As announced in Lily's official website, Lily will be made into a Nendoroid version soon. Looks like her Nendoroid version will comes with three expressions as shown in the picture and perhaps she will also come with her mike set.

Other details are still unknown but of course it's a good news that Lily will join the Nendoroid series. In my personal opinion, I hope Good Smile Company will make more Nendoroid from Vocaloid series in the future. Well, this is just my personal hope, but I do want an IA Nendoroid ^^;

Wait, wait?! figma Megurine Luka? Oh yes, the title is not wrong at all. I'm going to review my very first figma, Megurine Luka.

Kagamine Rin & Len - Ikasama⇔Casino

It's been quite a long time since my last song review. Well, lately I often post about Nendoroid and figma stuffs so this time I'll review a song again.

This time, it comes from one of my favorite composer, Hitoshuzuku-P. Or maybe I should call "teamOS" since this song is composed by Hitoshizuku-P, mixed by Yama△, the illustration is by Suzunosuke, and the video is made by TSO. The four of them is now in teamOS although TSO just joined the team in this song. And as additional information, this latest song from teamOS was uploaded in Nico Nico Douga on 1st April 2012. Yes, on April Fool's Day xD
And another information, this song is also included in Vocalogemini, an album from Exit Tunes, dedicated for the Kagamine Twins ^^

Hatsune Miku Gets Highest Vote for Wax Figure at Madame Tussauds

As seen on Madame Tussauds Bangkok Facebook page, Hatsune Miku gets the highest vote to be made a wax figure in Madame Tussauds Wax Museum.

So far, she already got more than 6000 votes, beating Super Junior (again) which only got about 3000 votes.

Meanwhile in Japan, Madame Tussauds in Odaiba, Tokyo will be furnished as a full museum on Spring 2012. The museum will be located in Decks Tokyo Beach mall with fully themed areas, Japanese heroes, and some infamous celebrities.

At this moment, a survey is also being held to decided which celebrity to be displayed in the new Madame Tussauds Museum in Tokyo. You can pick your favorite star based on these categories:

Colored Protoype of Nendoroid Racing Miku 2012 Revelaed

After we saw the uncolored prototype of Nendoroid Racing Miku 2012, finally on the live broadcast just now, they revealed the colored one!

That's all I could grab from the live broadcast. Actually there was a picture of Miku holding her umbrella on her car but I didn't manage to grab it. Really sorry ;A;

By the way, her accessories are almost the same as the previous Racing Miku, an umbrella and a car.  From now, she comes with two expressions. I do hope that they will add another expression to this cute Miku!

Nendoroid Sakura Miku Announced by Mikatan

After giving a teaser on her Twitter, finally today, Mikatan announced about the official Nendoroid Sakura Miku. This Nendoroid also came from an illustration made by Puchi Devil, the same person who designed Nendoroid Snow Miku 2012. The original illustration looks like this:

According to Mikatan, the released date and price are still unknown. The parts (accessories) for this Nendoroid haven't been decided yet. The only thing that clear is this Nendoroid will be commercialized.

Well, since this Nendoroid has an epic cuteness, let's hope that this Miku will be a normal released instead of limited edition or a bundled one (and let's hope it won't be released in near future)!

Kagamine Rin & Len - Departures

Yesterday, Hitoshizuku-P just added a new song to Nico Nico Douga. What's so special about this song is this isn't composed by Hitoshizuku-P. Departures is actually composed by Komuro Tetsuya, a famous Japanese composer, and was originally sung by globe, a famous 90's Japanese band. So this time, Hitoshizuku-P and Yama△ just did the re-arrangement of the song using Rin's and Len's voice and as usual, Suzunosuke made the illustration. So far that I know, this song is made for an event titled "Komuro Tetsuya meets Vocaloid" that will be streamed live on Nico Nico Douga on 28th March 2012 at 11:00PM.

The only difference between the original one and Kagamine Twins' version is Kagamine Twins' version is shorter since Hitoshizuku-P didn't include the English lyrics. In the original version by globe, the English lyrics was sung in rap mode though.

The song's story is quite simple. From what I read from the lyrics, it's about two lovers who have to leave each other because they want to chase their own dream. But in the end, it turns out that they can't forget each other since they love each other too much. It's really a  nice, touching, and sad song, I think.

Prototype of Nendoroid Racing Miku 2012 Revealed

Just now, Nendonesia has kindly shared the picture which contains the prototype of Nendoroid Racing Miku 2012. For now, it's just a simple prototype which doesn't even has a color. But admit it, even in grey color like that, Miku is still so cute, right? ^^

And a personal opinion, I hope GSC will apply a semi transparent gradient on her hair just like what they did to Nendoroid Racing Miku 2011. Her original design also shows a gradient on her hair, so I hope they'll make it ^^

Can't wait to see the colored one, right?

Nendoroid Racing Miku 2012 is Available for Pre-Order

After announcing Racing Miku 2012's design on Winter Wonder Festival on last February, finally today, Nendoroid Racing Miku 2012 is available for pre-order. If you haven't known, here's the design for this year:

The sculptor for this Nendoroid is JUN (E,V) while the original illustrator is GAN. For this time, the master figure of this Nendoroid hasn't been revealed yet, but the illustration already seems promising, right?

Sadly, this year is no different from last year which means, Nendoroid Racing Miku 2012 will also be bundled with sponsor products. The bundle options are still the same with last year, there are 4 options that you can choose. Here they are:

Miku's Daikanshasai (Miku's Big Thanksgiving Day) to be Streamed on Nico Nico Douga

Good news comes from Miku's upcoming concert, Mikupa 2012 (on 8th March 2012) and Miku's Daikanshasai (on 9th March 2012). The evening set of both concerts will be streamed live in Nico Nico Douga. The ticker will cost 2000 Nico Points for each concert or 3500 Nico Points for both concerts. Points can be purchased in Nico Nico Douga for 1 JPY per 1 Nico Points. There's a special offer (one-used-only) until end January to buy 1000 Nico Points for 150 JPY. Payment can be made with credit card (which has been verified by VISA).

Besides the live stream on Nico Nico Douga, the concerts will also be live streamed in theaters outside Japan. The ticket costs 3000 JPY per concert or 5400 JPY for two (two person for one concert or one person for two concert). And last one, apparently, JTB who organized overseas trip on MIKUNOPOLIS in LA also offers a special bundle of hotel and ticket package for 39800 JPY per concert.

Chinese Vocaloid Announced

After Japanese, Korean, English, and Spanish Vocaloid3, finally it's time to Chinese Vocaloid3. Her design comes from the winner of Vocaloid: China Contest.

Her not yet official name is Yayin Gongyu. She's 15 years old. Her name "Gongyu" (宫羽) is derived from ancient Chinese music notes (like do-re-mi nowadays) while "Yayin" (雅音) means elegant sound. Her voice provider is a female otaku named Shan Xin. There is a plan that she will ne redesigned by illustrator ideolo. She's scheduled to be released on 12th June 2012.

Some personal comments from me, her design is cute although she doesn't look like 15. Maybe they should reduce her age to 12 or something. And her voice~~~ It's so cute and match her appearance. It sounds like Rin but she also has some Miku's air in it ^^

Hatsune Miku Append - Plateau no Hana

A quite fast update from mothy since Chaban Capriccio~~~ mothy has updated his NND account on 13th January 2012. And the special thing is, this is the first time mothy ever used Miku Append! For this song, mothy used "solid" one. This song, Plateau no Hana (プラトーの花 in Japanese) will also be included in the upcoming Vocalo Append album ^^

Besides, the Append, I think this song sounds so different from mothy's previous work. It's more like jazzy. I'm quite surprised that mothy could make a jazzy tuned song very well. Miku Append Solid also suits the song well ^^
And don't forget the stunning video made by Yuu. The artwork is just awesome (although there's a little nudity there. Not safe for children). Love it~~~

The song itself still takes place in mothy's Evilious Chronicle. Year 141, in a peaceful town on a plateau there is a girl (Miku) who's called "The Plateau Flower". She works as a flower seller. She is loved by the people in the town, many people says that her smile is just like an angel. Behind her enchanted smile, nobody in the town knows that she was a prostitute. One day, a young lord falls in love with her and wants to marry her. The whole people in town wish them to be happy. But one day before the engagement ceremony, an ugly obscene man who likes to leech woman comes to the town and he knows her past secret. To keep her secret, she (probably) kills him. Three years later, a young boy who is actually The Plateau Flower's abandoned son also comes to the town. He wants to search his mother who abandoned him. Once again, to keep her secret, The Plateau Flower kills him and she continues her "perfect" life afterwards.

That's how I interpret the song. There's a possibility that she kills the obscene man and her son to keep her secret. Any other interpretation? ^^

Kagamine Rin & Len - Haitoku no Hana

After almost one year after Karakuri卍Burst, Hitoshizuku-P finally uploaded a new song (with video of course ^^) into Nico Nico Douga. The new song, titled "Haitoku no Hana" (背徳の花, in English "Corrupted Flower") was uploaded on 28th December 2011. A bit late for the twins' birthday? No problem. Awesome song is still awesome no matter when it's uploaded, right? The beautiful illustration is done by Suzunosuke as usual and the mixing is of course done by Yama△.

The song itself tells about a young officer and a young girl he meets in a pleasure district. The young officer is brought there by his commanding to see the popular dancer. The man (Len) is attracted with the girl (Rin) who is dancing beautifully. He soon gets attracted by her. Driven by desire, the two dance together. Rin fells in love with Len who simply thinks that love is just an illusion. But since he feels a bit guilty for the girl, he lies and says that he loves her. Rin realizes that Len is jusy lying to her but deep in her heart, she really falls in love with him. But in the end, Len realizes that he really falls in love with Rin. But both of them can't express their true feeling (Len still doubts his own feeling, whether it's a fake or not). Len finally decides to end his feelings. Rin actually still loves him but she realizes that their separation is a fate and she knows that asking for love to him is just impossible. The two separate in the end.

If I may give my comment, the basic story is pretty similar to Yumezakura, where they both also fall in love but FINALLY THEY SEPARATE T_T (And the pleasure district again? It reminds me of Amayumerou! >.<)
What a tragic love story, right? But maybe the tragic part makes me love this song *sigh*
But I also love the tune, though. And even without knowing the meaning, I bet you can tell that this is a tragic love song.

And talking about the lyrics, I only managed to get the romaji and the kanji version. So far, there's still no English translation. But me, driven by insanity, decided to translate it with my low level Japanese. Yes, you read it right. I translated it. I don't know whether it's good or not, but if you understand Japanese and find any mistake, leave a comment please ^^
