Kagamine Rin & Len - Haitoku no Hana

After almost one year after Karakuri卍Burst, Hitoshizuku-P finally uploaded a new song (with video of course ^^) into Nico Nico Douga. The new song, titled "Haitoku no Hana" (背徳の花, in English "Corrupted Flower") was uploaded on 28th December 2011. A bit late for the twins' birthday? No problem. Awesome song is still awesome no matter when it's uploaded, right? The beautiful illustration is done by Suzunosuke as usual and the mixing is of course done by Yama△.

The song itself tells about a young officer and a young girl he meets in a pleasure district. The young officer is brought there by his commanding to see the popular dancer. The man (Len) is attracted with the girl (Rin) who is dancing beautifully. He soon gets attracted by her. Driven by desire, the two dance together. Rin fells in love with Len who simply thinks that love is just an illusion. But since he feels a bit guilty for the girl, he lies and says that he loves her. Rin realizes that Len is jusy lying to her but deep in her heart, she really falls in love with him. But in the end, Len realizes that he really falls in love with Rin. But both of them can't express their true feeling (Len still doubts his own feeling, whether it's a fake or not). Len finally decides to end his feelings. Rin actually still loves him but she realizes that their separation is a fate and she knows that asking for love to him is just impossible. The two separate in the end.

If I may give my comment, the basic story is pretty similar to Yumezakura, where they both also fall in love but FINALLY THEY SEPARATE T_T (And the pleasure district again? It reminds me of Amayumerou! >.<)
What a tragic love story, right? But maybe the tragic part makes me love this song *sigh*
But I also love the tune, though. And even without knowing the meaning, I bet you can tell that this is a tragic love song.

And talking about the lyrics, I only managed to get the romaji and the kanji version. So far, there's still no English translation. But me, driven by insanity, decided to translate it with my low level Japanese. Yes, you read it right. I translated it. I don't know whether it's good or not, but if you understand Japanese and find any mistake, leave a comment please ^^

Happy (Belated) Birthday, Kagamine Rin and Len!

Ah I know that I should have posted this on 27th December but please forgive me for posting this now. But still, Happy 4th Birthday to Kagamine Twins!!!

I can't believe that it's been four years since they were released! They even have Append Version now. I still remember back then when I first fell in love with the twins. I was amazed by their singing voice in Aku no Monogatari by mothy. It's still my favorite song until now, and yes, I'm still amazed with Kagamine Twins' voice =3

I hope that the twins won't get beaten by the upcoming Vocaloid3! I know that although there are Vocaloid3, Kagamine Twins' voices are just too epic to forget. They have unique singing voice that you can't easily forget, right? ^^

Keep shining, Rin and Len! For now and forever! ^^

May this Christmas is filled with peace and joy. I do really hope so. I'm still disappointed to the fact that when a church holds a Christmas mass, there must be police to guard it and prevent bombing action. Why some people are so hard to respect others? =(

Nendoroid Kagamine Rin & Len: Cheerful Ver. Delayed

Good Smile Company has released an official apologize regarding the delay for Nendoroid Kagamine Rin & Len: Cheerful Ver. The two Nendoroid were announced to be released on Kagamine Twins' 4th birthday, 27th December 2011 but now the release schedule has been moved to January 2012 (the exact date is still to be announced).

GSC also explained that the reason why they have to delay them is because they found defects in some production samples received.

Nendoroid Kagamine Rin & Len are the fourth part of Cheerful Japan! charity products. Each Nendoroid donates 1000 JPY to help Japan relief effort from earthquake and tsunami on last March.

Hiiro no Kakera Anime's Staff, Cast, and Date Revealed

The official Twitter account for the anime adaptation of Hiiro no Kakera has revealed the staff, cast, and premiere date of the anime on Monday, 19th December 2011.

IA -ARIA ON THE PLANETES-

IA again? I know that I already talked about her in this post, but I feel like I need to talk about her more since IA is one of my favorite Vocaloid3 besides Suzune Ring ^^

So IA is one of the upcoming Vocaloid3 from 1st PLACE, Inc. that will be released on 27th January 2011. Her voice provider is the famous singer, Lia. I bet most of you already know her from her songs used in AIR, Clannad, and Angel Beats!. Her voice range is from B2 to A4 while her tempo range is from 63 to 228 BPM. It means that her voice range is much larger than Hatsune Miku (but let's not compare IA and Miku because I think every Vocaloid has their own unique). I found her voice is calming and cute (aside that it's pretty similar with Lia's voice) and I think her cute voice matches her cute appearance ^^

Her character design is done by Akasaka Aka. I don't know much about this artist but I like IA character design. I love her pinkish long hair and her cute face (not to mention that for me she looks similar to uzuriha Inori in Guilty Crown ^^;).

IA is first introduced by this video. This video also explains her full name, IA -ARIA ON THE PLANETES-



First, Planetes is a word from Greek that means "wanderer". Yes, it's the original form of the word "Planet" that we know nowadays. "Wanderer" may refers to how the stars and planets revolve around the sun. Remember that ancient Greece people were very interested in astronomy things, many myths from Greece are related to astronomy.

AR is "Augmented Reality". I don't really know how to explain this one but to make this easy it's something that tries to bridge between the digital and real world interaction together.

Aria is a musical term refers to an expressive melody that sung by a singer. This term usually found in a opera.

What about IA? Well, I heard that IA may come from Lia's name without L ^^

From that terms, I conclude her name as IA, the melody that wanderer from the digital world to the real world. This is just my thoughts, anyone has other idea? ^^;

So far, there are some samples have been given to hear IA's singing sound. And aside from her samples, she's now happening in Nico Nico Douga as you may have heard that some of her songs are doing well in weekly Vocaloid Ranking. Nendoroid 170: Hatsune Miku Support Version

Yeah, another delayed Nendoroid review. I'm gonna post it now~~~ So... just like usual, let's take a peek on her box first.

The box design is of course different from the usual Vocaloid series box design. FYI, Nendoroid Miku Support Version isn't a part of Vocaloid series to begin with. It's actually a part of the charity products that GSC sells to help Japan from the earthquake and tsunami in March 2011. The box design is quite cheerful, with flowers picture on it. What's special, the side, the top, and the bottom part of it don't display Nendoroid pictures as the usual ones. Instead, they use the Miku Support illustration. Cute ^^

Now, the container~~~

Aside from Nendoroid Miku Support, GSC also gave a decal for the Cheerful flag, a postcard (with illustrations from Piapro artists), a card of gratitude from GSC President, and a guidebook to play with your Miku (it's a leaflet actually, but a guide is still a guide).

So, this Miku comes with~~~

• 1 Hatsune Miku body.
• 4 face plates (1 attached).
• Hachune Miku front hair.
• 2 left arms (1 attached).
• 1 right arm.
• 4 left palms (1 attached).
• 3 right palms (1 attached).
• A pair of pompons.
• A leek.

She comes with quite many parts to play with. Basically, this Nendoroid is an upgraded version of the original Miku version. The new things are the flag, pompons, and  the smiling expression. And for additional info, her hair color is slightly different from the original one. This one is more blueish while the original one is more greenish.

The default look is the smiling face with her pompons on. The pompons are filled with ball-joints so it can be moved freely. And the most special thing in Nendoroid Miku is the fact that she can stand without her stand. Ah, this Nendoroid of course uses the new styled stand which unfortunately makes a hole in her back. Sometimes I don't really like it but in the other hand I have to admit that this new stand is more stable than the old one.

Special detail for Miku, a green ribbon is printed on her pants.

I'm quite pleased with the details. The paint is quite neat. The "Vocaloid" writing is neatly painted. Unfortunately the almost perfect detalis is ruined near her tie. There's a slight green paint on her gray shirt. Other details are fine, except that one. 

The other thing that bothers me is the smiling faceplate is somewhat too tight to pull. I'm worried that it might break. The other faceplates are fine, except that one. I don't know why. The lates released Nendoroid are said to have smaller size than the old ones. Maybe it has something wrong with that since this Miku is basically the upgraded ver. of the old one. I suggest you to be careful when you change her faceplate. Of course you don't want your beloved smiling Miku is broken, right?

Her pompons can be used with other Nendoroid too~~~!!!

About the price, I pre-ordered this one for IDR 575.000 (about ¥5750 or $57). The nowadays price has increased into IDR 600.000~IDR 700.000 (about ¥6000~¥ 7000 or $60~$70). Although she was said to be a limited products, you can still find here anywhere with various price. If you wanna buy her, better buy her ASAP before her price increase again.

For that amount of money, this Nendoroid is a worth buy one. You'll get many parts to play and a smiling Miku. The only minus things from this Nendoroid are the untidy paint near her tie and her smiling faceplate that is hard to pull out so you have to be extra careful with her. I don't recommend you to swap faceplates from the old released Nendoroid faceplates. It has a different size so there's a high possibility that the faceplate will get stuck in Miku's body. I have tried it myself and that happened. But all those minus sides have been covered with her cuteness and many parts. Just make sure you treat her carefully and enjoy playing with your Miku ^^

Nendoroid Snow Miku 2012 Revealed

Nendoroid Snow Miku 2012 showed in Nico Nico Broadcast

 After holding a contest to design Nendoroid Snow Miku 2012 and found the winner, finally Good Smile Company has revealed the Nendoroid form in Nico Nico Live Broadcast. Among four designs that had been accepted by GSC, this design came as the winner.

From that design, here's the upcoming Nendoroid Snow Miku 2012! This design will be called Nendoroid Snow Miku Fluffy Coat Version (in Japanese Nendoroid Yuki Miku Fuwa-Fuwa Coat Version/ねんどろいど雪ミクふわふわコートVer.)!

A singing expression, an expression you can't let go from Miku! She comes with a mike and its stand too!

 An upset expression? But even Miku looks so cute in this expression! ^^

Ehm, personal comments from me, I think the new design is a great refreshment for Snow Miku since GSC has used a typical design for the two precious Snow Miku. This new design is just lovely! Look at the expressions that they give! The embarrassed expression is too cute to resist and the upset face makes Miku looks even more cute! And oh, I love her clothes design! That blue ribbon with diamond on her head is just cute! Her semi-transparent lower half twin tails are also adorable! And of course her fluffy coat is extremely cute too! ^^

This Nendoroid will be available in Sapporo Snow Festival 2012, Winter Wonder Festival 2012, as well in GSC Online Shop!

And not just invading the Nendoroid Series, this design will also appear in games from SEGA, such as Project Diva Arcade and Project Mirai!

Snow Miku 2012 in Project Diva! Isn't that awesome? This design will appear in Project Diva Arcade starting tomorrow, 19th December 2011!

And here's her appearance in Project Mirai, a game from SEGA designed for Nitendo 3DS platform ^^

The game will be released in 8th March 2012. The game itself is a simulation game where you can make the Nendoroid dance! ^^

And that's not all, this Snow Miku 2012 has also invaded the train in Sapporo!
