Goodbye, Saya-san....

On Sunday night, I got a sad news. Saya (沙谷) has passed away on March 15, 2011 due to an accident. At first, I thought this was an April Mop joke, but then Saya Cosplayer page admin gave me a link to Tsugihagi Mishin's blog, then I knew that this IS true, our beloved cosplayer Saya has passed away....

I had checked Saya's blog and the last post was posted on March 14, 2011. By the way, here's the note from Saya Cosplayer (a fan page on facebook). I just do the copy-paste.

Regarding the rumor which had been spread, we are here to clarify it. Maybe some of you have known this before, but there are also many people who didn't.

We had contact with some of her friends to clarify this rumor and we are grateful that they were willing to share some info about our dearest Saya's current condition. Big thanks to Tsugihagi☆Mishin-san (Miss Saya's bestfriend) and GUMI-san (Miss Saya and Miss Mishin's kameko) for gave us info then our friend, Shiki-san (cosplayer from Kansai) for helping us translating.

First, we are going to tell you about the rumor. Some people said that Miss Saya has passed away. This rumor is TRUE.

We, the admins of SAYA COSPLAYER fan page, sadly and regretful announce that our DEAREST SAYA had passed away on March 15th 2011 early morning. Miss Saya passed away because of an accident.

About the detail of the accident, we are sorry, we don't know anything.

Miss Saya's sister also confirmed and justify this rumor.

Some of you wrote on Saya Cosplayer fan page's wall and said that Saya-san was suicided. That rumor was not true. Please don't believe it.

By this note, we also send our big condolences to Miss Saya's departure. May she rest in peace.

最高に可愛くて最高に魅力的で

圧倒的な存在感と行動力と

掴めそうで掴めないような

手が届くのに、手から時々すり抜けるような

綺麗で危うくて、でも全部私の憧れで大好きでした

趣味とか何も関係なくて

一人の女の子として人間として、とても魅力的で大好きだった

沢山遊んで、お泊まりして、真剣に話して泣いて笑って怒って励まして

ずっと一緒に居た四年間で沢山知れたことがいっぱいある

一瞬で、突然すぎて、今すらその速度についていけない

一睡もできなかったのに、眠らなくても心がうまくついてこない

嘘だって思いたいけど、でも顔を背けて本当の最後を逃したくない

短い時間のなかに凝縮したみたいな、誰より強い輝きを放ってた本物の流れ星でした

遠くまで流れていってしまう前に、もう一度だけでも傍に寄り添って言いたいことがあるから

こんなとき電車が思うように動かなくて口惜しく思う

"I regret to inform you that Saya passed away on 15th, March early morning. It caused by an accident but I'm not sure more detail of this.

Please allow me to extend my deepest condolences on Mrs Saya.

I think that you should tell them (Miss Saya's fans) about her condition. They should know the truth..."

Those are what we can tell you.

We know, it's hard to believe, but we still have to believe it. It happened already and there are no way to turn back the time.

We won't delete this fan page, only to make us remember Miss Saya's efforts in cosplay. We will update this page by posting Miss Saya's photos of cosplaying from the beginning, until the rest of her life.

For privacy, any evidence of her death isn't published, even to share this news on the fan page itself was a hard thing to do. The fan page had to ask permissions from Saya-san's family or at least her best friends. Her friends also said nothing on their blog or twitter because of privacy.
